Trilingual Interpreting

Our trilingual interpreters facilitate communication in three different languages: ASL, Spanish and English but we also have varying languages such as Creole and Jamaican Patois.

Not only that but the interpreters are also versed in the cultural & regional variations each language carries! For example, words in the capital of Colombia would vary from the common speech used in a rural area in Peru.

The linguistic structure of a person varies gradually. It may vary depending on the client's socioeconomics, age, education, sexuality and more.  It is the interpreter's responsibility to clarify any language variations for clarity of the message.

These cases range from consumers like children in developing stages with a limited understanding of language or a foreign sign language user that may not be familiar with American Sign Language. Since they are from another country, they might rely on visual information for the CDI to relay to easily comprehend basic conversation.

This process of communication allows for accuracy between both the hearing and Deaf party. It is important to take note that this process is lengthier in time since it passes through a Hearing AND Deaf interpreter before reaching the consumer at hand.
